This determination fixes the end of that period as **5 May 2011** for these regions. After this deadline, analog broadcasts would cease, meaning viewers who hadn't upgraded to digital equipment would have lost their TV signal.\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- Commercial TV broadcasters holding the licences for Eastern Victoria TV1, Regional Victoria TV1, and Western Victoria TV1 (the main channels in those areas)\n- Households in these regional Victorian areas who needed to ensure their TV equipment could receive digital signals before the deadline"}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi","history":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi/history","analysis":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/broadcasting-services-simulcast-period-for-eastern-victoria-tv1-regional-victoria-tv1-and-western-vi/documents"}}
