Originally focused on general dairy safety and pasteurisation requirements, it was substantially expanded in 2015 (Amendment 153) to include a comprehensive regulatory framework for raw milk cheese production. This added an entire Division 5 with 19 new clauses across 4 subdivisions, covering specific animal health, feed controls, identification, cooling, transport, and processing requirements for unpasteurised milk cheese.
