It covers **tea, coffee, peanut butter, chocolate, cocoa, and gelatine**.\n\n**What it does:**\n- **Defines what these foods actually are** — for example, chocolate must contain cocoa bean derivatives and can't have too much non-cocoa fat; peanut butter must be at least 85% peanuts.\n- **Sets strict caffeine limits** for decaffeinated products — regular decaf coffee can't have more than 0.1% caffeine, while instant decaf versions have a slightly higher limit of 0.3%.\n- **Prevents misleading labelling** — if you sell something as \"tea,\" it must actually be tea (made from Camellia sinensis leaves), not herbal tea or something else.\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- **Food manufacturers and importers** who make or sell these products\n- **Consumers** who want to know that \"peanut butter\" actually contains peanuts and \"decaf\" coffee really is low in caffeine\n\n**Why it matters:**\nThis stops companies from selling fake or substandard products. If you buy \"chocolate,\" you get real chocolate. If you need to avoid caffeine for health reasons, you can trust the \"decaffeinated\" label means what it says. It's essentially consumer protection through precise food definitions."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods","history":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods/history","analysis":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/australia-new-zealand-food-standards-code-standard-2-10-4-miscellaneous-standards-for-other-foods/documents"}}
