Stock) Regulations 1979* (Statutory Rules 1979 No. 240)\n- These old regulations governed stock held by the Australian Atomic Energy Commission (A.A.E.C.)\n\n**Why it matters**\n- The A.A.E.C. was the predecessor to today's Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO)\n- The Commission was replaced in 1987, making the 1979 regulations obsolete\n- This instrument simply cleans up the statute book by deleting laws that no longer serve any purpose\n\n**Who it affects**\n- Generally, **no one directly**. This is administrative maintenance rather than a change to operational rules. It reduces red tape by removing defunct legislation."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001","history":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001/history","analysis":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/atomic-energy-a-a-e-c-stock-repeal-regulations-2001/documents"}}
