Unlike general taxation, this is a \"user pays\" system where the industry sectors that ASIC spends time supervising bear the direct cost of that supervision. If you're a financial adviser giving personal advice to mum-and-dad investors, your sector is being charged $45 million for the year — which translates to actual levy amounts per licensee once divided up."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821","history":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821/history","analysis":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/asic-supervisory-cost-recovery-levy-regulatory-costs-instrument-2024-821/documents"}}
