{"id":"C1976L00298","name":"Apple and Pear Export Charge Regulations","slug":"apple-and-pear-export-charge-regulations","collection":"legislative_instrument","jurisdiction":"commonwealth","status":"repealed","isInForce":false,"actNumber":"298 of 1976","makingDate":null,"administeringDepartment":null,"currentVersion":{"id":25176,"registerId":"commonwealth-C1976L00298-current","compilationNumber":null,"startDate":"2026-04-01","status":"Repealed","reasons":null,"registeredAt":null},"sections":[{"sectionNumber":"1","sectionType":"section","heading":"Apple and Pear Export Charge Regulations","content":"![Commonwealth Coat of Arms of Australia](image.001.png)\n\nStatutory Rules\n\n1976 No. 298\n\nREGULATIONS UNDER THE APPLE AND PEAR EXPORT CHARGE ACT 1976.\\*\n\nWHEREAS it is provided by sub-section 7 (1) of the Apple and Pear Export Charge Act 1976 that subject to sub-section 7 (2) of that Act, the rate of the charge imposed by that Act is such rate as is prescribed:\n\nAND WHEREAS it is provided by sub-section 7 (3) of that Act that before making regulations for the purposes of sub-section 7(1) of that Act, the Governor-General shall take into consideration any recommendations made to the Minister by the Australian Apple and Pear Growers’ Association with respect to the rate of the charge:\n\nAND WHEREAS the rate last recommended to the Minister by that Association is 5 cents per box of fruit:\n\nNOW THEREFORE I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister by that Association with respect to the rate of the charge, hereby make the following Regulations under the Apple and Pear Export Charge Act 1976.\n\nDated this twenty-third day of December, 1976.\n\nJOHN R. KERR\n\nGovernor-General.\n\nBy His Excellency’s Command,\n\nIAN SINCLAIR\n\nMinister of State for Primary Industry.\n\n\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\n\nAPPLE AND PEAR EXPORT CHARGE REGULATIONS\n\nCitation.\n\n1\\. These Regulations may be cited as the Apple and Pear Export Charge Regulations.\n\nCommencement.\n\n2\\. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 1977.\n\nRate of charge.\n\n3\\.
