Think of these committees as industry bodies that can do things like marketing, research, or quality control on behalf of farmers.\n\n**Who it affects:**\n- Pig farmers, beekeepers, and egg producers in Western Australia.\n- The producers' committees that represent these farmers.\n\n**Why it matters:**\nWithout this regulation, the main Act wouldn't apply to these specific industries. This law is essentially the \"on switch\" that brings pork, honey, and eggs under the scheme. It means these farmers can form official committees, levy money for industry projects, and access the legal framework set up by the 1988 Act.\n\n**Key detail:** The beekeeping industry only gets access to *some* services (specifically listed subsections), while pork and eggs get access to all services mentioned in section 12(1) of the main Act."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001","history":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001/history","analysis":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/agricultural-produce-prescribed-agricultural-industries-and-services-regulations-2001/documents"}}
