Otherwise, they get **$11.60 per day**.\n*   **Assisted residents** (another category of low-income residents): The facility gets a flat rate of **$7.30 per day**.\n\n**Why this matters:**\nThese supplements act as a top-up payment to ensure aged care providers don't lose money when caring for pensioners or people without means. Without this extra funding, facilities might avoid taking low-income residents. This instrument simply updates the specific dollar figures (revoking the previous 2007 rates) to reflect current funding levels."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008","history":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008/history","analysis":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/aged-care-residential-care-subsidy-amount-of-concessional-resident-supplement-determination-2008/documents"}}
