The area is illustrated in the Parts Catalogue, Fig. 66, Detail C.\n\n \n\nCompliance: Before further flight.\n\n \n\nBackground: During an inspection of the fuel system lines on one aircraft it was discovered that the fuel line had been almost chafed through by the aileron push rod. Specifically, they must check where these lines pass through the main wing spar (the structural backbone) to see if they are rubbing (chafing) against the aileron push rod (the control mechanism for turning the aircraft).\n\n**Why it matters:**\nA fuel line was discovered worn almost completely through by contact with the push rod on an aircraft with only 61 flight hours. A damaged fuel line could leak fuel, creating a serious **fire or explosion risk**.\n\n**Who must comply:**\nAnyone operating Aerostar (Piper/Ted Smith) 600 or 700 series aircraft.\n\n**Deadline:**\nThe inspection must be completed **before the aircraft next flies** (immediate compliance)."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection","history":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection/history","analysis":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/ad-tsa-600-29-wing-tank-fuel-line-inspection/documents"}}
