This Amendment becomes effective on 3 December 1998.\n\nBackground: The capillary tube of the waste bin fire extinguisher in the forward lavatory has been found to be fractured / bent during maintenance inspections. This damage has caused the discharge of the extinguisher, and consequently no fire protection of waste bin contents as required by AD/GENERAL/48. This Directive requires certain actions to prevent capillary tube damage.\n\nAmendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the related LFV AD issued to limit applicability.\n\nThe original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 27 March 1997.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":3,"scope_assessment":{"changed":true,"description":"Amendment 1 narrows the scope compared to the original 1997 directive.
