As applicable by aircraft model, inspect the interior of the air intake box and carburettor heat deflector plate in accordance with the requirements of Process 1 of Robin Aviation Service Bulletin No. 161 Rev. 1.\n\n2. As applicable by aircraft model, inspect the interior of the air intake laminated air ducting, including the area located downstream of the intake air filter, in accordance with the requirements of Process 2 of Robin Aviation Service Bulletin No. 161 Rev. 1.\n\nNote: DGAC Airworthiness Directives 1999-053(A) and 1999-470(A) refer.\n\nCompliance: Effective 31 December 1999: Unless previously accomplished; within 5 hours time in service and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 110 hours time in service.\n\nThis Amendment becomes effective on 31 December 1999.\n\nBackground: This directive was originally issued to require an inspection of the interior of the engine air intake box for evidence of paint detaching. Paint detaching from the interior of the air intake box and inlet duct may result in a loss of engine power or engine stoppage. This amendment reflects the manufacturer’s revision to the requirement document.
