The requirement is to ensure the engine is capable of developing full throttle take-off power as detailed in the approved Airplane Flight Manual (AFM). The necessity to mandate a manufacturer's published maintenance procedure reflects an awareness of certain operators failing to appreciate the importance of carrying out such a procedure.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":943},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This appears to be the original 1995 directive (2/95) maintaining its original scope: mandating a specific maintenance procedure for turbocharged Lycoming engines to ensure take-off power capability."},"complexity_factors":["Short, single-purpose directive with clear applicability list","Straightforward compliance timeline based on 'time in service' hours","Single technical reference to external manufacturer document (Service Instruction 1187G)","No nested exceptions or conditional logic beyond the installed/uninstalled distinction"],"plain_english_summary":"This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of certain Lycoming TIO-/LTIO-540 turbocharged engines to adjust the turbocharger density controller per Lycoming Service Instruction 1187G.
