Numerous other non-conformities were apparent too, like use of non-conforming crankcase bolts and rod bolts, missing nuts and improperly installed clips. This engine was overhauled by Provence Aéro Maintenance, France on 18 November 1998. As a result of these findings, French DGAC cancelled JAR 145 approval for Provence Aéro Maintenance. There is no guarantee that other engines overhauled by or engine parts released by Provence Aéro Maintenance will have no similar non-conformities.Non-conformities such as above may affect safety of flight and the actions specified in this AD address that identified unsafe condition. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n4 March 2005","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/LYC/111","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/LYC/111","content":"## AD/LYC/111","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Lycoming Engines Last Overhauled by Prov","sectionType":"part","heading":"Lycoming Engines Last Overhauled by Provence Aero Maintenance France","content":"## Lycoming Engines Last Overhauled by Provence Aero Maintenance France","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"4/2005","sectionType":"part","heading":"4/2005","content":"## 4/2005","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":4,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The AD targets engines and parts last overhauled or released by Provence Aéro Maintenance on or after 1 October 1997 and prescribes inspection/restoration and reporting steps in response to identified improper assembly and non‑conforming parts.
