The requirement reflected FAA AD 87-26-10. |\n| | AD/LTS/9 Amdt 1, which became effective on 6 October 1988, reflected that FAA AD 88-14-01 superseded the requirements of FAA AD 87-26-10. FAA AD 88-14-01 alleviated the inspection and maintenance requirements of FAA AD 87-26-10 and introduced alternate maintenance procedures. |\n\n| | AD/LTS/9 Amdt 2, which became effective on 15 August 1996, introduced terminating action. The requirements of the AD are no longer applicable to engines incorporating the improved rotor retention capability and improved electronic power turbine rotor overspeed controller detailed in CASA AD AD/LTS/13. |\n| --- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n| | This AD, AD/LTS/9 Amdt 3, adds Honeywell Service Bulletin LT 101-72-50-0227 as a means of compliance to address the unsafe condition identified in FAA AD 88‑14‑01. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nMike Higgins \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n25 July 2014","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/LTS/9 Amdt 3","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/LTS/9 Amdt 3","content":"## AD/LTS/9 Amdt 3","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Number 3 and 4 Bearing Monitoring","sectionType":"part","heading":"Number 3 and 4 Bearing Monitoring","content":"## Number 3 and 4 Bearing Monitoring","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"16/2014","sectionType":"part","heading":"16/2014","content":"## 16/2014","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":4,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"Amendment 3 does not change which engines are covered or the substantive monitoring requirement.
