The crew noticed a strong electrical smell without the presence of visible smoke. Investigation revealed that several contacts of connector J 4222A/P 4222B showed signs of being affected by heat which was determined to be caused by degraded contact and resulted in high current flow. |\n| | This condition, if not corrected, could lead to further cases of electrical overload, causing failure of sliding window heating element(s) and creating the potential for arcing, smoke and fire in the cockpit area. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nDavid Villiers \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n21 July 2005","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/F100/70","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/F100/70","content":"## AD/F100/70","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Windshield Anti-Icing","sectionType":"part","heading":"Windshield Anti-Icing","content":"## Windshield Anti-Icing","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"9/2005","sectionType":"part","heading":"9/2005","content":"## 9/2005","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary_failed":{"failed":true,"reason":"A positive credit balance is required for all requests, including BYOK, so fallback providers remain available.
