Subsequent investigation showed that one of the APU drains was not connected to the APU enclosure feed-through, allowing fuel to accumulate underneath the APU enclosure.Accumulated fuel in or under the APU enclosure may lead to fire and / or loss of aircraft. The AD addresses the identified unsafe condition through a one-time inspection to verify that all drain tubes are correctly installed and that the wiring is not damaged. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n23 May 2005","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/F100/67","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/F100/67","content":"## AD/F100/67","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"APU Enclosure Drains and Wiring","sectionType":"part","heading":"APU Enclosure Drains and Wiring","content":"## APU Enclosure Drains and Wiring","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"7/2005","sectionType":"part","heading":"7/2005","content":"## 7/2005","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The Directive stays within the original safety objective identified by the investigation of the APU fire: verify drain installation and wiring condition to prevent fuel accumulation and fire.
