Replace the Flight Warning Computer (FWC) with a modified unit, part number 80-0610-3-45, in accordance with Fokker Service Bulletin (SB) F100-31-051 dated 15 August 1998.\n\n2. Modify the wiring in accordance with Fokker SB F100-31-047 Revision 1 dated 21 March 1997.\n\nNote: Netherlands AD 1998-110 refers.\n\nCompliance: 1. Prior to 22 October 2001.\n\n2. Either concurrently with, or prior to Requirement 1.\n\nThis Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 22 April 1999.\n\nBackground: In-service experience with Fokker 70/100 aircraft has shown that full transition to another flight phase could take up to eight seconds from the moment that all relevant input conditions are met. This may lead to alerts being generated during phases of flight where they should be suppressed. This directive introduces a new FWC that reduces the time delay between phases of flight to the lowest minimum attainable.\n\nThe new computer also changes the flight phase inhibition definition of the REVERSER ENG 1(2) alerts so that these alerts are no longer inhibited during initial climb between 400 and 1 000 ft radio altitude.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":2234},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":3,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This airworthiness directive maintains its original narrow technical scope regarding Flight Warning Computer replacement for Fokker aircraft."},"complexity_factors":["Technical aviation terminology (flight phase inhibition, radio altitude, reverser alerts)","Cross-references to manufacturer service bulletins and foreign (Netherlands) airworthiness directives","Specific hardware part numbers and technical document versions","Dual compliance requirements with alternative timing options ('concurrently with, or prior to')"],"plain_english_summary":"This directive requires all operators of Fokker 70 and 100 aircraft to install a modified Flight Warning Computer and associated wiring changes by the compliance date. It fixes a slow phase-detection delay that could cause false alarms or suppress critical warnings.\n\nThe upgrade also alters when engine-reverser warnings are blocked, restoring alerts during initial climb (around 400–1,000 ft), reducing the risk of missed or inappropriate warnings during critical flight phases."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement","history":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement/history","analysis":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/ad-f100-30-flight-warning-computer-replacement/documents"}}
