Although unlikely, if a pilot subsequently chooses to perform a take-off, the aeroplane may get airborne with a partially deployed thrust reverser, which is an unsafe condition.Since this condition exists and may occur in other aeroplanes of the same type and affects flight safety, a corrective action is required. |\n\n| | This Directive initially requires an AFM amendment to alert the flight crew, followed by installation of new engine FADEC software. |\n| --- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nDavid Punshon \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n13 March 2008","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/ERJ-190/2","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/ERJ-190/2","content":"## AD/ERJ-190/2","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Full Authority Digital Engine Control So","sectionType":"part","heading":"Full Authority Digital Engine Control Software","content":"## Full Authority Digital Engine Control Software","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"5/2008 TX","sectionType":"part","heading":"5/2008 TX","content":"## 5/2008 TX","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":4,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The Directive confines itself to the original corrective aim: immediate crew warning (AFM amendment) and subsequent FADEC software upgrade for affected ERJ-190s.
