In the event of a bird strike to a pylon fitted with aluminium fasteners, there is the possibility that the impact may affect some equipment installed in the region aft of bulkhead 1. Damage to the hydraulic lines and electrical generator power cables may lead to a fire in the region, without indication to the flight crew.
