There has also been excessive freeplay on the rudder-II lower control rod clevis end-to-rod attachment. The failure of multiple hinges can result in flutter on the rudder-II and subsequent structural failure. Failure of the control rods can result in jamming of the rudder-II. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nDavid Villiers \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n18 June 2008","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/EMB-145/13","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/EMB-145/13","content":"## AD/EMB-145/13","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Rudder II Skin, Hinge Fittings, Attachme","sectionType":"part","heading":"Rudder II Skin, Hinge Fittings, Attachment Fasteners, and Control Rods","content":"## Rudder II Skin, Hinge Fittings, Attachment Fasteners, and Control Rods","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"8/2008","sectionType":"part","heading":"8/2008","content":"## 8/2008","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":3,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This is a standard Airworthiness Directive with narrow, technical scope.
