A shorting link between pins 2 and 3 of the receptacle completes the circuit. The RAAF have advised that in one aircraft this shorting link was missing thus preventing any battery overheat being indicated.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"_metrics":{"model":"kimi-k2.5","source":"moonshot-batch","completionTokens":1821},"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The directive maintains its original narrow scope addressing a specific wiring defect in the battery thermal sensor system of AS 350 helicopters. This plug is part of the battery temperature sensor system.\n\n**Why it matters:** This metal link completes the electrical circuit for the battery overheat warning light. Without it, the warning light won't activate if the battery overheats, creating a serious fire risk that pilots wouldn't know about. The Royal Australian Air Force discovered this link was missing in one aircraft, meaning the safety system was completely disabled.\n\n**Who it affects:** All owners and operators of AS 350 (Ecureuil) series helicopters."}},"importantCases":[],"_links":{"self":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector","history":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector/history","analysis":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector/analysis","conflicts":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector/conflicts","importantCases":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector/important-cases","documents":"/api/acts/ad-ecureuil-41-battery-thermal-sensor-connector/documents"}}
