Investigation revealed that the burning odour resulted from an electrical short circuit in the LH cable channel, which caused by a damaged wire harness. The wire harness was damaged by the side channel cover attachment hardware. |\n\n| | To prevent further incidents of wire harness damage/chafing and short circuits. This Directive requires the inspection and, if necessary, the repair of any damage to the wiring harnesses together with the modification of the LH and RH cable channels. |\n| --- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n23 January 2007","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/EC 135/13","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/EC 135/13","content":"## AD/EC 135/13","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"LH and RH Cable Channel Wire Harnesses","sectionType":"part","heading":"LH and RH Cable Channel Wire Harnesses","content":"## LH and RH Cable Channel Wire Harnesses","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"3/2007 TX","sectionType":"part","heading":"3/2007 TX","content":"## 3/2007 TX","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This AD maintains its original narrow scope — addressing a specific safety defect in specific helicopter models.
