Although brake cable problems have not been reported on in-service aircraft, the possibility exists for brake cable wear to occur. If a brake cable were to separate while under tension, aircraft control problems could occur during take-off or landing. |\n| ----------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n24 May 2006","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/DHC-8/123","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/DHC-8/123","content":"## AD/DHC-8/123","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Brake Control Cable","sectionType":"part","heading":"Brake Control Cable","content":"## Brake Control Cable","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"7/2006","sectionType":"part","heading":"7/2006","content":"## 7/2006","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This AD maintains its original narrow scope — addressing a specific mechanical defect on specific aircraft serial numbers.
