For aircraft on which modification AMS 07.45B73 has not been embodied;\n\n Install bonding braids in accordance with Aerospatiale Mandatory SB No 25-12 or No 25.19. as applicable.\n\n b. Perform a bonding check in accordance with Aerospatiale Mandatory SB No 25-12 or No 25.19. as applicable.\n\n2. For aircraft with modification AMS 07.45B73 embodied, perform a bonding check in accordance with Aerospatiale Mandatory SB No 25-12 or No 25.19. as applicable.\n\nDo NOT re-install the pyrotechnic cable cutting squib in accordance with Aerospatiale Mandatory SB No 25-12 or No 25.19.\n\nNote: DGAC AD 91-082-034 (B) also refers.\n\nCompliance: Requirement 1a and 1b. Within 50 hours time in service after 12 January 1992, but no later than 12 March 1992.\n\nRequirement 1b. Every 500 hours time in service after 12 January 1992, or every 18 months after 12 January 1992, whichever is the lesser; and on every occasion following removal and reinstallation of the hoist or hoist arm from the aircraft.\n\nRequirement 2. Every 500 hours time in service after 12 January 1992, or every 18 months after 12 January 1991, whichever is the lesser; and on every occasion following removal and reinstallation of the hoist or hoist arm from the aircraft.\n\nBackground: An number of inadvertent firings of the pyrotechnic cable cutting device on a variety of helicopter electric hoists resulted in the removal of the pyrotechnic device from all hoists when used for personnel winching pending further investigation (AD/SUPP/12 refers). The pyrotechnic cable cut device is however still required to be fitted to hoists when hoisting cargo. Compliance with this AD will improve the bonding of the hoist and reduce the likelihood of un-commanded cable cuts when the pyrotechnic device is fitted for cargo winching. Note however that fitment of the pyrotechnic device for personnel winching is still prohibited by AD/SUPP/12 pending further investigation.\n\nNote that Requirements 1 and 2 for SA 360, 361 and 365 C, C1, C2, and C3 helicopters was previously contained in AD/SUPP/15, but has been included here in this AD as the requirement more correctly applies to the Hoist/helicopter combination.\n\nCOMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 \\- 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY\n\nSCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":3,"scope_assessment":{"changed":true,"description":"Requirements previously issued in AD/SUPP/15 have been moved into this AD to apply more precisely to the hoist/helicopter combination.
