The actions specified in this AD are intended to detect, correct, and prevent overheating damage to the brake caliper piston O-ring seals, which could result in leakage of brake hydraulic fluid. Consequently, this could lead to the loss of braking with loss of aeroplane directional control or brake fire. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n25 October 2006","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/CIRRUS/6","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/CIRRUS/6","content":"## AD/CIRRUS/6","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Brake Caliper Piston O-Ring Seals","sectionType":"part","heading":"Brake Caliper Piston O-Ring Seals","content":"## Brake Caliper Piston O-Ring Seals","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"13/2006","sectionType":"part","heading":"13/2006","content":"## 13/2006","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":6,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The AD’s scope matches the stated safety concern in the Background: it targets overheating damage to brake caliper piston O‑ring seals on specified SR20/SR22 serial‑number ranges.
