However, as one of these aircraft may be imported at a later date and may not have complied with the FAA AD, CASA is obliged to issue an AD reflecting the requirements of an AD issued by the State of design of the aircraft or appliance, in this case FAA AD 80-13-14. Consequently, given the time since the FAA AD was made and that similar incidents have not been reported in Australia, CASA has decided that the initial compliance should be ‘Prior to the issue of an Australian Certificate of Airworthiness’. |\n| --- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nDavid Punshon \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n6 March 2008","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/CESSNA 340/35","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/CESSNA 340/35","content":"## AD/CESSNA 340/35","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Fuel Flow Transducer","sectionType":"part","heading":"Fuel Flow Transducer","content":"## Fuel Flow Transducer","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"5/2008","sectionType":"part","heading":"5/2008","content":"## 5/2008","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":true,"description":"Substantively mirrors FAA AD 80-13-14 (the same part and serial-number block), but CASA adjusted the compliance trigger: inspection is required 'prior to the issue of an Australian Certificate of Airworthiness' rather than imposing an immediate operational grounding for aircraft already in-service in Australia.
