The FAA AD was originally issued to detect and replace possible defective fuel flow transducers which may cause fuel leaks in the engine compartment. |\n| | This Amendment corrects a minor typographical error in the Background Statement following advice from the Senate Standing Committee on Regulations and Ordinances. |\n\n| | CASA acknowledges that currently the only affected 310R aeroplane is not on the Australian register of aircraft. However, this aeroplane may be imported at a later date and may not be in compliance with FAA AD 80-13-14, CASA is obliged to issue an AD reflecting the requirements of an AD issued by the State of design of the aircraft or appliance, in this case FAA AD 80-13-14. Consequently, given the time since the FAA AD was made and that similar incidents have not been reported in Australia, CASA has decided that the initial compliance should be ‘Prior to the issue of an Australian Certificate of Airworthiness’. |\n| --- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |\n| | The original issue of this Directive became effective on 8 May 2008. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nJames Coyne \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n16 July 2008","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/CESSNA 310/58 Amdt 1","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/CESSNA 310/58 Amdt 1","content":"## AD/CESSNA 310/58 Amdt 1","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Fuel Flow Transducer","sectionType":"part","heading":"Fuel Flow Transducer","content":"## Fuel Flow Transducer","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"9/2008","sectionType":"part","heading":"9/2008","content":"## 9/2008","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"flash_summary":{"complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"The Amendment corrects a minor typographical error in the Background Statement and leaves the operative inspection and replacement requirements intact (Background).
