During routine maintenance, the wing rear spar lower caps and rear spar web were found to have significant cracks. The Raytheon Structural Inspection Manual requires a thorough inspection of the wing rear spar at 17,500 hours time in service, with repetitive inspections at intervals of 3,000 hours time in service. One aircraft had accumulated 19,126 hours time in service, and there were no discrepancies recorded from the initial inspection at 17,500 hours time in service. Early indications show similar cracking on the other aircraft. Analysis indicates that similar cracks could also develop in the wings of other Model 1900 aircraft. |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nDavid Villiers \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n1 September 2006","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/BEECH 1900/48","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/BEECH 1900/48","content":"## AD/BEECH 1900/48","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Wing Rear Spar Lower Cap Inspection","sectionType":"part","heading":"Wing Rear Spar Lower Cap Inspection","content":"## Wing Rear Spar Lower Cap Inspection","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"11/2006 TX","sectionType":"part","heading":"11/2006 TX","content":"## 11/2006 TX","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This is a standard Airworthiness Directive issued under the Civil Aviation Act 1988 and Civil Aviation Regulations 1988.
