Mounting bolts with a torque setting of less than 60ft-lbs are to be replaced before further flight. Mounting bolts with torque settings of 60ft-lbs or greater are to be re-torqued in accordance with manufacturer’s procedures.\n\nNote: FAA AD 97-17-08 amendment 39-10111 refers.\n\nCompliance: Compliance with this directive is required within the next 50 hours time in service (TIS) following the effective date of issue of this directive.\n\nThe effective date of issue of this directive is 24 September 1997.\n\nBackground: The FAA has received reports that certain Raytheon model 1900D airplanes were inadvertently installed with under-torqued propeller mounting bolts. Three reports to date have discovered torque settings of 60ft-lbs or less which could lead to fatigue cracking of the bolts and possible loss of a propeller.","sortOrder":0}],"analysis":{"flash_summary_failed":{"failed":true,"reason":"Unauthenticated.
