If an approved maintenance organisation performs the work, standard maintenance charges apply.\n\nImmediate operational effect and behaviour change\n\n- Operators must schedule the specified visual inspection by the stated date and must not fly beyond the next flight if the inspection reveals defects that are not rectified (Compliance: \"before further flight\").\n- Operators will need access to BAe ISB 28-030 and follow its procedures for inspection, rectification and installation of protective wrapping (Requirement, Note).\n\nCompliance and implementation risks, costs and trade-offs\n\n- Cost and downtime: the AD imposes a discrete maintenance task (inspection + possible repairs + protective wrap). Costs will vary by operator size and whether defects are found.\n- Preventive vs reactive trade-off: the AD forces a preventive protection (spiral wrap) after inspection, which increases immediate maintenance cost but reduces short-term risk of wiring damage.\n- Dependency on an external document: the AD defers to an external ISB for the technical steps. That concentrates the technical detail in a manufacturer document (ISB 28-030) rather than in the AD text itself (Requirement; Note). Operators must obtain and follow that ISB.\n- Verification: compliance requires competent inspection and, where necessary, correct rectification to the ISB standard; inconsistent interpretation of the ISB could create enforcement or rework risk.\n\nSource claim vs practical effect\n\n- The source claims wiring chafing reports prompted this action (Background). The AD converts that operational report into mandatory inspection and rectification steps (Requirement & Compliance).\n- The practical effect is to shift the immediate detection and correction burden onto operators of these aircraft types and to require a specific protective modification (spiral wrapping) if inspection is done.\n\nKey text pointers: Applicability; Requirement 1–3; Compliance; Note (ISB classification); Background."},"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":2,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This AD maintains its original narrow scope — addressing a specific wiring chafing issue in a defined aircraft family.
