The Directive is issued to prevent the in-line flow indicators of the passenger oxygen masks from fracturing and separating, which could inhibit oxygen flow to the masks and consequently result in exposure of the passengers and cabin attendants to hypoxia following a depressurization event. |\n| --- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |\n\n![](image.001.png) \nCharles Lenarcic \nDelegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority\n\n9 September 2008","sortOrder":0},{"sectionNumber":"AD/B767/245","sectionType":"part","heading":"AD/B767/245","content":"## AD/B767/245","sortOrder":1},{"sectionNumber":"Passenger Oxygen Masks","sectionType":"part","heading":"Passenger Oxygen Masks","content":"## Passenger Oxygen Masks","sortOrder":2},{"sectionNumber":"11/2008","sectionType":"part","heading":"11/2008","content":"## 11/2008","sortOrder":3}],"analysis":{"kimi_summary":{"content_quality":"ok","complexity_score":3,"scope_assessment":{"changed":false,"description":"This AD maintains its original narrow scope — addressing a specific manufacturing defect in oxygen masks for Boeing 767 aircraft.
